Ayse Kipri’s practice is occupied by an interest in architecture, space and the line that defines the practices of painting and sculpture. In her works, ready-made surfaces such as; Perspex, steel and aluminium are used to reflect urban materiality, whereas the steel structures result from an interest in the city’s architecture being in-flux and incomplete structures in construction sites that occupy our everyday landscape.

The set was inspired by WBS 70 buildings in East Berlin built in 1970.
